December in Lagos, fondly called Detty December, is a time that the city truly comes alive with residents, visitors and ready to party non-stop, of course you as you might imagine, party hopping, going out to have fun especially in Lagos is not free neither is it cheap, and If you are like me who likes to have fun on a budget aka upcoming rich babe, you’re probably wondering how you can save money yet have fun this festive season. Keep reading, I have you covered, here are 5 ways you can have fun and enjoy yourself this December on a budget in Lagos.

Choose group trips

Aside from being more enjoyable, especially when done with friends, group outings are also a smart way to save money because you can split costs and even get group discounts at events or specialized sites.

Consider indoor activities

Charity and fun begin at home as well. There are many entertaining activities you can do indoors such as karaoke, games, or in groups such as throwing a house party for a few friends and suggesting that everyone bring something to snack on for the rest of the group.

Enter giveaways

It’s the season to be cheerful, and many businesses are taking advantage of the occasion to give away a variety of freebies, event tickets, and other items. If you see anything you like in a giveaway contest, consider entering it; of course, this is just speculative because I expect there will be many entries.

Create a budget

You should consider having a budget for the month, this way you can allocate funds and set your spending limit for items, activities, or events you have planned out for this festive season. This will also keep track of what you’re spending your money on.

Take advantage of promos and discounts

If you’re gift shopping for friends or family or even yourself, there are a lot of stores and brands offering discounts on items or trying to clear off old stock by selling them at giveaway prizes this season. Consider signing up to their communication platform.

This list in exhaustive and there are other fun ways to celebrate Christmas especially within Lagos. What other budget ideas can you share with us?
