Beauty Hacks For People Who Can’t Be Bothered

As far as beauty hacks go, products that have dual functions are a dream for saving time and energy. Examples are two/three in one products like cleansing washes and eyeshadow/bronzer/blush sets.

I only just started paying real attention to beauty hacks and other ways of caring for my skin recently. It doesn’t help that I am not one to get easily excited by a ‘face beat’ even though I like the finished product. First of all, I am a little lazy when it comes to these things. Secondly, I almost can’t bear feeling hot and sweaty, plus, I have no interest in seeing brown stains when I wipe my face in the heat.

Despite all these, there are still many moments I want to look different or put in more effort. In this sense, over the years, I managed to pick some beauty hacks. Here are a few of them:

Two (or more) ways

As far as beauty hacks go, products that have dual functions are a dream for saving time and energy. Examples are two/three in one products like cleansing washes and eyeshadow/bronzer/blush sets.

No black

Use brown or cream coloured eye liner instead of black when your eyes look tired. This will help you create a softer, more open/awake effect.

Lips or eyes

You can use an eyeliner and mascara alone, or just a lipstick if you don’t have time or energy to wear full makeup.

Mascara brush

Use your mascara wand to brush your brows to make them look naturally neater and fuller. To make your brighter eyeshadow hues pop, use white eyeshadow as a primer on your eyelids. You are welcome!

Wrap it

If you don’t feel like wearing a wig, you can wrap your hair with a scarf or turban to match your outfit on a bad hair day. This one is a life saver!

Another coat

If your nail polish is chipping and you don’t have enough time to repaint or clean them, just apply another coat of nail polish until later.

Cool air

On days when you don’t have the time to wait for your makeup to bake, hasten things up by using your hair dryer on cool.

Cotton bud

Most of us make mistakes when applying makeup, so dampened cotton buds serve as good erasers instead of redoing the whole face.

Fresh faced

Instead of caking on the foundation, dust translucent powder lightly on your face to freshen up your makeup. This one is a favourite!

Bonus tip: Wipes and blotting paper

You will always need wipes to remove your makeup, but they especially come in handy when you are stuck somewhere overnight for whatever reason and you know you can’t afford to sleep with a full face of makeup on. You also need blotting paper if you have an oily T-Zone.

I hope these beauty hacks help you feel and look fabulous whenever you want. Don’t forget to share your best beauty hacks with us too. After all, we girls have to look out for each other.
