If there is one thing I miss about Nigeria, it is White House pounded yam. A date at the Buka with your significant other, drinks included would cost you less than N2,000. And the entertainment (people watching) is always free.
Take a Walk/Run together
For fit-fam couples or even those looking for a modest way to get some exercise, stretch your legs and walk the neighbourhood. I and my husband love long hikes in our city’s greenways. It is a great time to gist and reconnect while enjoying the wonder of nature and getting to meet our neighbours.
Pack a picnic for the beach/park
Pack some food and head to the beach or a nearby park where you can eat and watch the sun go down in the arms of the one you love.
Volunteer together
The couple that volunteers together stays together. Maybe there is a passion you both share. You can volunteer at an arts festival, at church, at an orphanage. Giving back is selfless and people are always better for it.
