My Secret To Eating And Losing Belly Fat

Result of losing belly fat

I want to say that summer is nearly over but since this is Naija, let me just say ‘long holiday period.’ Lol. Anyway, it is over and tbh, we did not have a lot of it this year. (COVID did us dirty). So, granted, a lot of us did not think about vacation bodies because we’ve been stuck at home eating Banana bread.

However, having a healthy waistline is something we should always consider, whatever time of the year. Because instagram slay aside, visceral fat, as it is called is one of the leading risk factors for diseases like diabetes, heart diseases, high cholesterol, and other conditions etc.

So how do we keep the belly fat down ad the waistline slim?

Exercise

A lot of people don’t want to hear it, but physical exercise is ne-ce-ssa-ryyyy. The more you do it and get used to it, the better for you, your waistline and BMI. Even your heart in the long run. Everyone has abs. It’s just hiding under a layer or twenty of fat. Unfortunately, we can’t target places to lose weight, so you can’t decided to move only belly fat. Do HIIT exercises and when you start to see fat shedding and other results, you can start doing ab exercises.

Waist Trainers And Slimming Teas Don’t Do Much

They might give the illusion that you getting a little trim. But diet and exercise are the sure-fire ways to lose the belly fat. I’m not totally against waist training as I think they help with posture. But you find that the people that swear by them have no plans to incorporate a healthier lifestyle in general. They just want the magic.

Eat Smartly, Not Sparsely

A lot of dieting traditions are popular for telling people to starve or not eating properly. But burning visceral fat involves you targeting diet practices that are efficient and sustainable. In summary, I would say, eat a lot of high protein diet meals, avoid trans fats like margarine, and eat plenty of soluble fiber like fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds.

Make Healthy Meals Fun

I’ll eat anything if it looks fun and colourful. And honestly, it works all the time. My favorite healthy breakfast of all time is a Greek yoghurt with one banana blend. But this can get boring. My solution to this is to use various colors of spirulina to transform my breakfast into ice cream looking goodness. Spirulina, on its own, is a cyanobacterium that is packed full of nutrients. So, it’s 2-in-1 and also takes delicious.

Reduce Your Stress Levels

Lastly, your state of mind really does affect your weight levels and the way your body does things including breaking down fat. Try to reduce your stress levels. Relax and take care of yourself, because as someone said “try to dey enjoy, problem no dey finish.
