I bet we are all glad that we are past the era of thinking fashion is for irresponsible people. Or that fashion means being indecent. Fashion is a way of expression. The way we put clothes together can even tell you about a person. So, even if you are conservative, fashion should not in any way be inhibiting. Especially as it is one thing that can help you build a happy and lasting impression. To prove to you how fashion can fit perfectly into a modest and conservative lifestyle,  I have shared a few tips below.

Layering

The art of layering is one that will never cease to be valuable. It helps you wear many pieces in different ways. It also ensures that you are also able to wear your less conservative pieces. For instance, a top that you would not be comfortable wearing alone because of its lack of sleeves can be paired with your favourite blazer.

In another instance, just because slip dresses are more revealing does not mean you have to skip out on that fashion trend. Your slip dress can be paired with a long jumper underneath to cover your arms. Tres chic!

Cuts and Colour

This time, we aren’t talking about diamonds. We are talking about clothes. Dressing modestly and fashionably, you must pull attention to your outfit details. Use cuts and contrasting colours to do this and it’ll up your style game like never before.

Scarves and accessories

Scarves are a great way to accessorise, cover up and still be in fashion. Bushkas, pashminas, turbans and the likes up your look many times over and they complement almost every outfit.

Go for Timeless Pieces

Some clothing items will forever be in style. Those are the items to constantly reach for when making purchases. This will ensure that you remain chic while still being modest and fashionable.

Wear Loose Clothing

Covering up can also be bothersome especially in tropical climates like ours where it is summer all year long. The trick is to wear loose clothing like pants and loose tops. That way, you stay comfortable, as well as covered up.

The most important style tip is to be you and do you. Be comfortable in your skin and in your clothes. Do not stretch yourself to be represented in what you are not just to fit in or feel fashionable. You can still be authentic as well as stylish.

Go forth and flourish. ☺️
