Entering July All Scrubbed Up and Ready to Win!

Yes boo, that thing is nasty. It came into the new year with you, it should go. Say your goodbyes and move on. Doctors (Dentists) recommend that your toothbrush be changed every 3 months.

So it’s the second half of the year, yay!

Now, depending on what your goals are or how far you have come with them, you may or may not have mixed feelings about this mindless racing that 2019 has been. But no matter what you call it,  it’s still a kind of beginning. Maybe not for big goals or landmark projects. But also for little things and changes that make our lives all the more better.

Here a few changes I will be exploring – feel free to join me 🙂

Throw out your old toothbrush

Yes boo, that thing is nasty. It came into the new year with you, it should go. Say your goodbyes and move on. Doctors (Dentists) recommend that your toothbrush be changed every 3 months. So even if you got yours on the 1st of January, it’s due for a change.

Throw out your sheets

Okay throwing them out may be a tad bit extreme (and cost-intensive). But you should change them, honey. It’s time for a launder. Don’t lie, they have been sitting there for a hot minute. While you are at it, change your pillowcases too. In fact, dust down the entire bed and flip it over. Start fresh.

In case you don’t already know this, the ideal time to change your sheets is every week. If you sleep with your birthday suit, you should change your sheets every day! There is absolutely no point in having all the Korean Beauty products and the finest serums from all the labs on your counter when you have old sheets. You will just continue in a vicious cycle and keep having breakouts.

Throw out your bad spending habits

We already talked about saving and spending at the beginning of the year. How is it going? How great are your finances now? How good are your savings? Do you track your spendings? Do you know where your money goes? I’ll leave you to answer these questions while I skip to the next point.

Throw out your sponges

Basic science has taught us that a relationship between bacteria and dampness is not a good idea. Please throw out your sponges. The ones you use to take your baths. The ones you use to wash your dishes, etcetera.

If by any chance you have one of those bath sponges from the wells of some Egyptian sea; that cost up to half of my food budget for the month and may not be changed easily, you can microwave it or soak in hot water multiple times.

The one for dishes, however, has been proven to be particularly gross because of all the food pieces stuck in it. So, do yourself the favour of switching it out for a new one.

Now that we are well aware of what we should and should not be carried into the second quarter, I hope you enter July all scrubbed up and ready! Cheers!
