I have had health challenges in the past few weeks. I started to feel better at a point, but things took a turn for the worse in the last one week.
Physical and financial shock
While still on my health medication, my period started a little earlier and heavier than usual. I became anaemic, and my body went into a mild shock. Thankfully, it was detected and reversed quickly enough to avoid damage to my organs, but the trauma is best not experienced.
After all this, this is what I can tell you: Health is wealth! I have heard this saying all my life, but it has resonated more than ever in the last couple of years.
These past few weeks have also reminded me why we can never over invest in good health.
I’ve had to spend a pretty sum on getting well. At the very same time, I’ve been unable to earn as much as I do or could on the regular. Imagine the sense of double loss from missed income opportunities.
Secure the money, ladies!
Thankfully, I am much better now, and truly grateful for good health. While I can’t guarantee that I will never be ill again, I intend to do everything in my power to protect my health. And then, I am going to go ahead and make up for all the deals I lost these few weeks. Because the only thing better than money is more money!
However, I am also conscious of the fact that to make more money, I’ll need to take care of my health too. I figure the same rule applies to most people. Eat right, drink lots of water, rest well, stay active, and stay positive.
If you live in the tropics like some of us, protect yourselves from mosquitoes! Those buggers are NOT your friends. And when you’re tempted to prioritise money making over your wellbeing, remember this: Health is wealth!
